Tick Season Is Here: Why One Mom Didn't Wait for Biomagnetic Therapy

Karen Cerato

Tick season has arrived. As the weather warms and outdoor activities ramp up, so does the risk of tick exposure. Ticks can be active year-round if the temperature stays above freezing, but are most active in spring, summer, and fall, according to the National Forest Foundation.

It’s just the start of the season, and we’re already getting calls for Biomagnetic Therapy that addresses a wide range of tickborne infection. This week, I got a call from a mom of a 6-year-old daughter who was recently bitten. It’s easy for kids and adults to get a tick during a hike, while playing in the yard, or just spending time outside.

This proactive mom wanted to make sure her daughter hadn’t picked up any tickborne infection with this recent bite, and she was fortunate she saw it. Many people don’t realize they’ve been bitten. Others spot the tick, remove it, and go about their day, especially if there’s no bull’s-eye rash or fever. But the absence of immediate symptoms doesn’t mean there’s no risk. In many cases, symptoms begin to reveal themselves in weeks, months, or even years – long after you’ve forgotten about that bite.

Fortunately, with Biomagnetic Therapy, we have access to more than 1,500 identified biomagnetic pairs to address the highly complex and aggressive symptoms of chronic Lyme disease and its co-infections. But it’s not always about Lyme disease.

Did you know there are lots of species of ticks and associated diseases that can cause a wide range of symptoms? And with a single tick bite, a person may contract no infections, or multiple at once. It’s a common misconception that you either get Lyme or you don’t. Many ticks carry more than one pathogen, and co-infections like Babesia, Bartonella, or Anaplasma can go undetected for years if not addressed.

Beyond Lyme: The Hidden World of Tickborne Infections

While Lyme disease is the most well-known tickborne infection, it’s far from the only one. In North America, approximately 90 species of ticks have been documented, with a dozen or so known to transmit diseases to humans. At the NH Health & Wellness Center, we use Biomagnetic Therapy to address not only Lyme, but a wide range of tickborne pathogens and co-infections, including:

·        Babesiosis – Caused by parasites transmitted primarily through blacklegged ticks (Ixodes scapularis), it often occurs alongside Lyme disease.

·        Anaplasmosis – Spread by blacklegged ticks in the Northeast and upper Midwest, and western blacklegged ticks on the West Coast

·        Ehrlichiosis – Transmitted by the Lone Star tick (Amblyomma americanum) and sometimes blacklegged ticks

·        Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever (RMSF) – One of the most severe tickborne diseases, spread by several tick species, including the American dog tick (Dermacentor variabilis), Rocky Mountain wood tick, and brown dog tick

·        Powassan Virus (POW) – Transmitted by infected blacklegged ticks; Unlike most tickborne pathogens, it can be transmitted within minutes of a bite and is not spread person-to-person.

·        Bartonella – A common Lyme co-infection that is transmitted by ticks

·        Rickettsia – A group of bacteria that includes several species responsible for spotted fevers, including RMSF and other rickettsioses.

It’s difficult to pinpoint specific symptoms associated with each tickborne infection because everyone responds differently. That said, common symptoms can include fatigue, joint and muscle pain, brain fog, fever, chills, headaches, night sweats, sensitivity to light or sound, digestive issues, sleep disturbances, mood changes, numbness or tingling, dizziness, and more.

Mosquito-borne infections such as malaria and dengue fever can present with similar overlapping or vague symptoms as well and are often overlooked.

A Proactive, Non-Invasive Approach

Biomagnetic Therapy uses magnets to help the body rebalance itself by addressing the root causes of symptoms, like hidden infections or chronic inflammation often missed by other approaches. Magnets are placed on specific points of the body to neutralize areas where pathogens and imbalances reside. The result is a less hospitable environment for infection, reducing inflammation and supporting the body's own healing process.

Because we scan for hundreds of pathogens and imbalances during each session, clients often discover underlying issues they didn’t even know were there. And catching these infections early – like the young girl whose mom reached out this week – can prevent them from becoming chronic or debilitating down the road.

Many clients come to us after months or years of unexplained symptoms. For many, the relief is life-changing:
